A fixed fork is essential to the Burlycross morphing, and there was only one choice with a disc mount. Very light and unquestionably strong and with a christmas discount from Stiff within my reach.
Includes: steerer tube expander (star-fangled nut for carbon).
The guys at Niner have found out something very important about bigger wheels relationships with steeper head angles. The inherent stability of the wheel keeps it stable even at decreased trail figures (steeper head angles will decrease trail). These angles make bikes super nimble in the tight, slow stuff, but the larger diameter wheel and increased gyroscopic effect still make the bike verystable at high speeds and descending.
The rake and height figures are there to increase steering precision slightly, but keep stability. Of course it depends which frame it goes on!
